Physical Exams

Safe and healthy participation is essential in sports and all players are required to have a current physical exam on file with the Athletic Director of their school. Their physical exam is good for one calendar year from the date of the exam and must be performed by a licensed physician or physician’s assistant. If the exam expires mid-season, the player will not be able to participate until an updated exam is completed.

In the 1990’s Dr. Chuck Eaton and a handful of local physicians donated their services to provide physical exams for Coronado athletes. Dr. Eaton’s legacy lives on today with generous support from an expanding list of Coronado physicians & health care professionals. The yearly “Physicals for Sports” is open to both CHS & middle school aged athletes and is an opportunity to get the required physical exam necessary to participate in school sports. The event is held in early August before the start of school sports.
