CHS Spring Tryouts Tuesday, February 07, 2012 (528 reads)
CHS Spring Sports Try-Outs For ALL sports, a student must complete the on-line registration which can be found at: IN ADDITION, students must have all supporting paperwork turned in to the Front Office before they can try-out/practice. Copies of these will be e-mailed to you after you register. Also a reminder that we ask for a $115 donation per athlete per sport to cover transportation and official fees and this can be paid online or paid by check (to ISF-CHS athletic fees) handed in with other paperwork. Paperwork includes: ü Medical Health History ü Physical Exam – (any Doctor signed Physical taken after May 2011 is acceptable) ü CUSD Emergency Release Form ü CIF Ethics Form ü Participation Form ü Concussion Form (can be found on Edline under Athletics) PAPERWORK WILL ONLY BE TAKEN AT BREAK OR LUNCH AT THE STUDENT STORE!!! CANNOT BRING IT TO THE FIRST PRACTICE!!!! If you are playing a Winter sport that will be in play-offs you MUST communicate with the Spring coach to let them know you intend on playing! A player must attend all try-outs/practices unless excused by the coach. All teams practice at least Mon-Fri and some on Sat so these dates are just the first few days. Teams will give out tentative practice schedules once student makes the team. Try-out / Practice Times: Baseball: Practices at Strand Field Sat. Feb 18th Freshman and those who did not play baseball at CHS last year: 10:00-12:00 Veterans and those selected from earlier work out will practice 1:00-4:00. Practice will continue on Monday times TBA and then on Tues at 3:00. Exact times will be given on Sat. Boys Golf: Sat Feb 18th 4:30 Parent/Player meeting at golf course. Tue/Wed Feb 21st and 22nd 3:00 meet at the golf course Softball: Sat Feb. 18th and Monday Feb 20th 8:30- 10:30 and 1:30 to 3:00 Tues-Fri practice will be held at 3:00 all practices are at Green Field (off of elementary school) Boys Volleyball: Wed. Feb 22nd 3:00 in the gym, Thur Feb 23rd 5:00-7:00 in gym, Friday Feb 24th 3:00-5:00 in gym Boys Lacrosse: Monday Feb 20th 7:00-9:00 PM meet on Cutler field. Practice will continue that week 7-9 each day. Girls Lacrosse: Tues. Feb. 21st 3:00-5:00 PM Niedermeyer Field –Rest of week schedule to be announced at Tuesday’s practice, but should follow a similar schedule. Swimming and Diving: Tues. Feb. 21st 3:00 to 5:00 BBMAC Regular practices to follow same schedule. Boys Tennis: Try-outs Tues Feb 21st thru Friday Feb 24th from 3:00-6:00 at Tennis Courts (behind fire station) Track and Field: Tues. Feb 21st 3:00 meet at pole vault pit.

CMS Winter Sports Tryout InformationBoys Basketball Tryouts, November 13, Sunday, 1:00 - 4:00 pm @ HS Gym. Please use 7th Street gate to enter and exit. Tryouts will continue on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at the HS gym. We will let the boys and parents know specific times on Sunday for the rest of the tryout times. We (HS and MS) are in the process of doing tryouts and all need to use the gym. Girls Soccer Tryouts, November 14 & 16, Monday and Wednesday, 3:15 - 5:30 @ Tidelands Fields. Shinguards are required to tryout. There may be a callback on Friday if needed at the same time and same place. Boys Soccer Tryouts, November 15 & 17, Tuesday and Thursday, 3:15 - 5:30 @ Tidelands Fields. Shinguards are required to tryout. Girls Softball Tryouts, November 14 - 18, Monday - Friday, 3:30 - Dusk @ Green Field (located behind Village Elementary on 7th Street). Co-Ed Golf, Lawn Bowling, Speed/Strength, Rocking Yoga will begin the week we return from Thanksgiving break. All three pieces of paperwork (Emergency Form, Medical History, Physical) need to be completed before participation/tryout. That includes all signatures.

CHS Fall Sports Starts If you are interested in trying out for a fall sport at Coronado High School, here is the contact information and details regarding the first day of practice. Remember to try out for any sport students must have turned in their sports registration packet to the front office including a physical exam BEFORE they practice. To obtain registration forms please go to www.islandersportsfoundation.com and click on “register athletes here” and then follow directions. Once complete the website will E-MAIL the forms to you. While you can go to your own doctor ISF will be holding their annual physicals on Aug 10th at 5:30 in the 500 bldg at the High School. Cost is $20.00 and will go to pay for medical supplies for the athletic teams this year. Any questions or if you have problems registering please contact: Cross Country – First practice will be Wed. Aug 25 th meet at the players” gate of the football field at 3:00PM. Dr. Eaton’s legacy lives on today with generous support from an expanding list of Coronado physicians & health care professionals.
