Genevra “Nevie” Nelson (CHS Girls Junior Varsity Tennis Coach)
Nevie Nelson is a new member of the Coronado High School coaching staff. Bringing years of leadership experience to her inaugural season, Nevie has previously helped coach young girls to improve their game while on the East Coast in VA. She has also coached several boys and girls soccer teams in VA and here in Coronado for boys.
As an athlete and sport enthusiast her entire life, Nevie played tennis and soccer on the varsity level for all four years of school. She also was a competitive age-group swimmer and a member of the Junior Olympic team for volleyball.
Presently, Nevie applies her competitive spirit to playing tennis throughout San Diego as a member of the USTA, CTA and Barnes Tennis leagues. She is passionate about the game of tennis and her objective this season is to instruct and inspire the young athletes to achieve their personal goals on the court and implement that success off the court.
