The Islander Sports Foundation is a California certified 501 [c] [3] non-profit.

Federal Tax ID #33-0584000

The mission of the ISF is to responsibly raise funds to sustain Coronado School Sports.

Coronado Unified School District (CUSD) is confronted with public funding cuts that impact all aspects of education. The foundation offers tax deductible options for restricted and unrestricted grants in support of Coronado High School athletic programs.

The ISF began as the Coronado All Sports Booster Club in 1994 by a group of supportive parents.

Coronado High School (CHS) and Coronado Middle School (CMS) have a rich 100-year history of academic and athletic accomplishment. The foundation is committed to the preservation of high quality sports programs for the benefit of the student-athletics at CHS and CMS.

The foundation is the beneficiary of non-profit events that raise funds for CHS and CMS athletics. Funds raised on behalf of CHS athletic programs come in the form of donations (exclusively) whereas Coronado Middle School age athletics are Club Sports operating from club fees.

The foundation is run by an elected Executive Board that meets monthly. Most board members are volunteers. The administrative cost to operate the foundation is approximately 15%. The ISF is governed by certified by-laws which are reviewed annually. The Foundation securely maintains records, minutes and accounting records. The ISF Board approves the budget each year and undergoes review of its books each year by an independent CPA firm. The independent CPA firm files the annual tax return on behalf of ISF.

For the overwhelming majority of the CHS student-athletes these years will be the last time they represent and compete on behalf of their school. The foundation works diligently to make these years the best they can be for all Coronado Islanders. We welcome all Islander Alumni, Family and Friends to contribute to our mission.
